Job Details
We are currently looking for a Neighbourhood Repairs Officer to directly supervise and organise a team of trade employees carrying out repair work to council homes including voids.
The post holder will ensure the work is completed to a good quality standard, within timescales and to the clients / customer’s satisfaction. Experience of producing detailed inspections and schedules of works appertaining to void properties is desirable.
You will also be required to undertake post inspections of works completed by the in-house teams and contractors.
To ensure the key performance indicators are met, such as:
- Craft employee/contractor productivity and performance
- Appointments
- Average time taken (days) to complete repairs and voids
- Keeping variations to a minimum
- Management of Attendance and Health and Safety
The post holders will carry out inspections to properties and raise appropriate works orders/schedules to instruct trade employees or contractors on the work required and assessing in advance the materials required to undertake the repair effectively.
Please note a Higher National Certificate in Building or equivalent and possession of a full Driving Licence is required for this role.
