Due to our ongoing success and expansion, our Multi Academy Company Christ the King Catholic Collegiate is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Catering Manager to our team.

Working in partnership with our Multi-Academy Operations Manager, you will oversee our in-house catering operations (CaterKing) across six academy sites (5 primary schools and 1 secondary school) in the Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme areas. Due to the requirement to travel between sites, access to your own vehicle is essential to this role.

Our CaterKing team proudly produce high-quality meals, freshly cooked from raw ingredients. Our menus include popular dishes that children recognise, enjoy and most importantly, eat. We offer quality food, meeting nutritional guidelines for schools and provide a balanced approach to healthy eating.

As Catering Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the planning, management and provision of nutritionally-balanced school meals, ensuring a consistent approach to healthy eating to support childrens’ education, health and wellbeing. You will be managing and co-ordinating our catering teams, therefore excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships, is essential.

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working at a senior level in a catering/kitchen environment; skilled in the cooking, preparation and presentation of meals with a strong understanding of allergens, guiding our catering teams to ensure consistent high quality at all times. As our Multi-Academy Catering Manager, you will also be part of our small central services team, representing the catering teams at a senior level, therefore excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Office) are also essential to this role.
