The governors of this over-subscribed special school are looking to recruit a dynamic and inspiring individual to the role of Behaviour Management Lead. The role would suit an experienced individual who has worked in a similar role for example as a Behaviour Lead, Learning Mentor or Teaching Assistant. At Abbey Hill we have 348 pupils on roll with a range of SEND including learning difficulties, communication & interaction difficulties and/or Autistic Spectrum Conditions. This is a wonderful opportunity for inspiring individuals with a good standard of Numeracy, Literacy & I.T.skills to work with our pupils to help them overcome behavioural obstacles to learning and developing their potential both inside and outside the classroom.
The successful candidate will:
Lead the management of pupil behaviour
Undertake the assessment of the needs of individual pupils
Advise senior management team in the production and implementation of whole school plans, initiatives and strategies to improve pupil behaviour
Manage a caseload of pupils in improving their behaviour and learning
Maintain case files of excluded pupils, recording contact with the pupil and their families/carers
Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, including production of assessment reports
Liaise with external agencies to improve pupil behaviour
Organise and deliver training sessions on behaviour management to other staff
If you have experience of working with pupils with SEND / behaviour management and have a relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning and are committed to providing the very best learning outcomes for our children and young people, we would like to hear from you.
The successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive induction, continuing CPD and an opportunity to work alongside our committed and supportive staff.
