Infrastructure Officer - Architecture

 

Salary: £32,234- £36,922 per annum

37 Hours per week – Permanent

Staffordshire ICT is responsible for the delivery of ICT services for Staffordshire County Council and some of its partners. This new post is responsible for supporting and leading on the delivery of end user compute technology strategies that will ensure that the council is well placed to deliver leading edge digital services as part of its transformational journey.

This position will support the Technical Architect and will lead on proof of concept, pilots and the implementation of new technologies that support our end user computing solutions to support the councils Smart Working programme.

You will have in depth skills and help test and implement new solutions such as the exploitation of our Microsoft 365 roadmap, ensuring we create the flexibility required to support business ambitions whilst also ensuring that security arrangements are robust.

You will help shape and implement solutions including biometric authentication, autopilot for self service build solutions and investigate new capabilities that Windows 11 will bring.

You will have knowledge of Azure Active Directory and be adept in the creation and automation of ICT policies that control the use of tools.

You will help the council move away from traditional perimeter defences to borderless cloud operating model whilst ensuring that security remains tantamount to success.    

Candidates will be expected to have substantial experience in such areas to enable them to lead on all existing and future work and to contribute to strategy development

You will need to be able to work in a challenging fast paced environment, displaying excellent time management and conflict management skills, as well as demonstrate the ability to deliver on tight deadlines and keep calm under pressure.
