Job Details
The Health Improvement team at Telford & Wrekin Council is committed to ensuring a better start in life, supporting school and community initiatives that enable children to stay healthy and live well.
The Children's Healthy Weight Coordinator will use trusted resources and organisations to support school and communities in identifying solutions and a plan of action to increase levels of physical activity, healthy eating and wellbeing.

Full Time 37 hours per week
This is a Scale 6 £24,982 - £27,041 and is for a fixed term of 1 year.
The post holder will be required to work from the office and in schools/communities. There will be an element of home working.
The role will provide project support to the Health Improvement Practitioner - Children & Families settings.
Key responsibility is to support the delivery and implementation of the school and community’s healthy weight improvement plans.
The key purpose of the programmes is to enable school and community settings to support their children and families to engage in interventions that lead to lifestyle behaviour change through eating well (healthy), being active, and emotional wellbeing
