Job Title:- EYFS phase lead with class teacher responsibility (TLR 2.1)

Location:- Flash Ley Primary School, Hawksmoor Road, Stafford, ST17 9DR

Employer:- Staffordshire County Council

Contract Type:- Permanent starting January 2022

Working Hours:- 32.50 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Flash Ley Primary School. The children, governors, staff and parents are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring EYFS Phase Leader who has the enthusiasm and creativity to lead our team of staff who work together striving to raise standards and improve the quality of educational provision for all of our children.

Experience of EYFS is essential along with a proven track record of outstanding leadership.  Leaders have a high level of autonomy and have significant responsibility in shaping the strategic direction of their phase along with organising the day to day running of EYFS.  This post is ideal for a career minded, hard-working and passionate individual to work alongside a large team in continuing to drive both success in pupil outcomes and developing the ongoing strong team spirit.

Flash Ley Primary School is a vibrant forward-thinking school where our children are at the forefront of everything we do and all staff are expected to have dedication to not only the school but our wider Flash Ley family.

The successful applicant will also play an instrumental role in assisting our Voyage Manager to provide a consistent and seamless education between our 0 – 5 years provision and our school nursery.

• is an outstanding practitioner with a genuine passion for ‘making a difference to pupil outcomes’
• has strong leadership experience of running an EYFS department
• will be a strong role model for members of the EYFS team
• has experience of successfully raising attainment and in securing good progress/outcomes for all groups of children
• encourages and seeks to create a positive and creative learning environment
• is committed to making a difference to our community and the lives of our children
• actively encourages strong home school links
• has experience of music/RE/Forest Schools (desirable not essential)
