Casual Events Technician

 

£12.69 per hour

The Arts and Events technical department are looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals to join the team at an exciting time, with the re-opening of the refurbished Tamworth Assembly Rooms and an ever-evolving event programme that now includes Tamworth Castle.  Casual events technicians will deliver technical support for the arts & events programme of events in one of the following roles; lighting operator, sound operator, AV technician, rigger, stage manager, followspot operator, maintenance technician. From touring shows at the Assembly Rooms to pop-up theatre in the castle, the technical team are at the heart of a team putting on a varied and challenging program of events.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of at least one technical discipline, and an ability to translate this understanding into technical and creative excellence in the provision of technical support. 

You will need to be a team player, good with people, comfortable making decisions under pressure, working on your own initiative and operating across disciplines as required.

No two days are the same and the role offers the opportunity to work in the Gold Britain in Bloom winning Castle Grounds, Tamworth Castle and the Multi-million-pound refurbished Tamworth Assembly Rooms.
