An exciting opportunity has arisen for three outstanding Teaching Assistants to join our team at Horton Lodge on a temporary basis. The posts available are:

  • X1 one to one support, 25 hours (Monday to Friday 9:00-2:30)
  • X1 one to one support, 32.5 hours
  • X1 general teaching assistant, 32.5 hours (maternity cover)

Those employed on a one to one basis will support an individual pupil to achieve their potential in their learning, physical independence and social skills and will ensure that their medical needs are met. The successful applicant will also support the class as a whole.

Horton Lodge School is a Local Authority Special School for children aged 2-11years with physical disabilities and associated needs. The successful candidate will truly hold the pupils’ wellbeing and learning at the centre of all they do, have good interpersonal skills, high standards and expectations and an understanding of the difficulties faced by young people with disabilities. A commitment to undertake training and implement new initiatives is required.
