Moorside High School is an over- subscribed, smaller than average 11-18 mixed comprehensive with a shared Sixth Form on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands.
The school was rated as good in the Ofsted January 2017 inspection. Pupil’s outcomes at the end of key stage 4 have placed us above, or well above average compared to schools nationally.
Moorside has a dedicated team of 9 Teaching Assistants, an Assistant SENCo and SENCo work with these students.
The successful candidate would ideally have previous experience of working with children with SEN needs in a school setting. You will need to demonstrate that you are flexible, resilient and have a genuine commitment to special needs education. “Pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities make good progress compared to others nationally. This is due to the support they receive from the school’s SEND department.” Ofsted 2017
