Moorside High School is an over- subscribed, smaller than average 11-18 mixed comprehensive with a shared Sixth Form on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands.

The school was rated as good in the Ofsted January 2017 inspection.  Pupil’s outcomes at the end of key stage 4 have placed us above, or well above average compared to schools nationally.

Moorside has a dedicated team of 9 Teaching Assistants, an Assistant SENCo and SENCo work with these students.

The successful candidate would ideally have previous experience of working with children with SEN needs in a school setting. You will need to demonstrate that you are flexible, resilient and have a genuine commitment to special needs education.  “Pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities make good progress compared to others nationally.  This is due to the support they receive from the school’s SEND department.”   Ofsted 2017

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check under the DBS.
