Prince Henry’s Support Staff Scale TA1, point 5

Required:  As soon as possible - temporary until 31st August 2022

A rare opportunity has arisen for a suitable candidate to join the team of Learning Support Assistants at Prince Henry’s High School.  Whilst most of our learning support work is carried out with students in classroom situations, this vacancy has arisen to enable 1-1 work to take place with students whose social and emotional needs require sensitive handling and a small environment to facilitate gradual exposure to the school environment.

This 1-1 work will take place in our Learning Support Department which has recently benefited from a major refurbishment in order to create a more nurturing environment for students with more complex needs.

Working hours will be from 9.30 am – 11.30am, Monday to Friday. (10 hours per week)

Prince Henry’s is a popular and over-subscribed 13-18 High School, with approximately 1,300 students on roll.  Priding itself on its traditional values and ethos, as well as its inclusivity, the school enjoys an excellent reputation locally and has consistently been judged as outstanding by Ofsted.

Working as part of a team under the direction of the school’s SENDCO/Head of Learning Support and a member of our Senior Leadership team, training will be provided, if required.

Further information is available from the Head of Learning Support, Mrs Ruth Baston.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates and should be submitted using the online application form which can be accessed via the school’s website www.princehenrys.worcs.sch.uk If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, please contact the Headteacher’s PA & HR Manager, Mrs Zoe Bradley (email secretary@princehenrys.worcs.sch.uk or telephone 01386 765588).

Prince Henry's High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Closing date for applications:  9.30am, Friday 1st October 2021

Interviews:   During w/c 4th October or shortly thereafter
