Grade: G4: £19,698 - £21,748 per annum (based on Full time - 37 hours);
(Pro rata salary with term time fraction applied (approx.) £11,772 to £12,997

Fixed term until end of the spring term (08.04.2022)

Starting date: As soon as possible

We require a teaching assistant to work 27.5 hours per week. Applicants may be asked to work 1:1 with children who have a special educational need or work with small groups during interventions. This could be school wide. General classroom duties such as display work, filing and maintaining the flow of the classroom activities will also be part of the job.

Essential:

  • Have completed or training for a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification (as a minimum)
  • A GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with children who have an Autistic Spectrum diagnosis.
  • Experience of working with behavioural problems
  • Knowledge of child development
  • General knowledge of basic Makaton
