Fixed-Term Contract to 31st August 2022
37 hours per week

It’s an exciting time to join Warwick District Council’s Environmental and Operational Services team. Our role includes looking after parks, green spaces and car parking across Warwick and Stratford districts. In Warwick district, we are continuing to develop some major projects for green and other public spaces. This meets our objectives to encourage healthy, sustainable and enjoyable lifestyles for the residents and visitors of our district.

As Project Manager, you will have experience of working on a range of projects that include green spaces. You will be motivated to create project ideas before researching them. Then you will develop the plan for business approval before delivering it. You are unlikely to get repeated project content in this role – nothing is formulaic. Your drive to find solutions will be matched by your ability to deal with stakeholders, internally and externally. You will be making the business case; steering colleagues and partners to deliver; responding to queries from local communities and convincing potential project funders to support you. For the period of this contract, your main focus will be to enable the Council to meet its tree planting targets.

The current situation has impacted on project delivery and priorities; therefore you will prove to be flexible and adaptable, with an aptitude for adjusting quickly to the needs of a project.

Significant project management experience at a senior level is essential, alongside a relevant professional qualification.

We are an evolving workforce with remote working options available to you. Your role will include home working whilst your base will be The Council’s headquarters in Royal Leamington Spa.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Ruth Hytch, Programme Manager for Environmental and Operational Services on 07591 988878.
