Enterprise Co-ordinator

£27,741 - £29,577 per annum

Scale SO1

37 hours per week

Fixed Term Contract initially until 31 August 2023

The Enterprise Coordinator (EC) sits at the heart of the local Enterprise Adviser Network (EAN) to help schools and colleges improve their careers and enterprise activities and to engage with the world of work. Working closely with the Skills Lead, FutureFocus and the Life Ready, Work Ready Team, the EC will ensure the EAN is embedded into the LEP’s skills strategy and make it easier for employers to engage with schools and colleges. Through establishing the local and national contexts the EC will focus everyone’s efforts on programmes and activities that are most effective in motivating young people, supporting independent choice, and supporting positive outcomes for young people.

Nationally, there is a network of Careers Hubs.  Telford & Wrekin Council is part of the Marches Careers Hub, which brings together local EC's to regularly review progress, share good practice, collaborate and innovate.  The EC plays a vital role in contributing to the local Careers Hub in order to help schools and colleges improve their careers and enterprise programmes and to engage with the world of work.

Although this is a fixed term contract initially until August 2023, there is an expectation that it will continue beyond that, with the contract having been renewed on an annual basis since 2016.
