Job title: Regional Adoption Agency Adviser
Location: Home based & some days at The Civic Centre, Glebe St, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 1HP
Salary: Grade 10 £37,890 – £41,881
Contract type & working pattern: Permanent | Full time | Flexible | remote & office based – happy to discuss options
This post employed by Staffordshire County Council and is seconded to the Together4Children Regional Permanency Partnership. The postholder will undertake regional duties with a primary role for the City of Stoke-on-Trent.
Our team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated children’s social work practitioner to join our committed team at Together4Children. We’re an innovative and forward-thinking regional partnership which provides the Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) for Shropshire Council, Staffordshire County Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, and Telford & Wrekin Council. We’re recruiting an additional Regional Adoption Agency Adviser to join our rapidly developing service.
The role
Working with the Lead Regional Adoption Agency Adviser, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, quality assurance and management of one of our Regional Adoption Panels. The job role will involve managing local resources to ensure the effective delivery of panel and agency advice functions within a locality and will support the Lead Regional Adviser to provide an effective service across the wider region.
As a Regional Adoption Agency Adviser, you’ll ensure the appropriate complex legislation, regulations, guidance and procedures are implemented in respect of Adoption Panels and Adoption Agency Advice by providing high-quality professional information and guidance to professionals and senior decision-makers.
You’ll work with specific Local Authorities within the region to quality assure Child’s Permanence Reports and provide advice to Agency Decision Makers, where the Care Plan for a child is adoption.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have 3-years post qualifying children’s social work experience (including direct experience of adoption practice), but most of all you’ll be passionate about ensuring that children in care achieve permanency within loving families.
In terms of the role location, we take an agile approach to working here so although you’ll be expected to work from Swann House, Boothen Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 4SY some days and occasionally travel across the region, this role allows for blended working between home and the office to meet service needs. So, if you’re interested in this challenging and rewarding role, we’d love to hear from you.
