Grade 3 PLAYWORKER

Working with 0 – 4 year olds

37 hours per week  

Grade 3 - £18,652 – £18,933

Hours:

Monday - 7.30-3.30

Tuesday - 7.30-3.30

Wednesday 7.30-3.30

Thursday - 7.30-5.30

Friday 7.30-12.30 

Temporary until 31st August 2022 in the first instance with a view to making permanent for the right candidate.

Required:  Immediate start or as soon as possible

This post is to assume key roles in our Early Years provision within the highly successful and vibrant governor run childcare provision of Voyage @ Flash Ley. The provision has upwards of 100 children accessing before school, full day care, nursery education funded and afterschool provision on a daily basis.

Under the supervision of the Extended Services Manager, the successful applicant will be expected to be involved with planning, implementation and assessment of the children within their care and be a critical link between our childcare and school provision. They will also be expected to work closely within the small team of playworkers and work with the school management on improvement and driving innovation. Values are central at all times and all staff are expected to have dedication to not only the childcare provision, but our wider community.

It is essential that candidates have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in childcare.

The position is term time, however, due to the provision being open 50 weeks of the year, some holiday cover will be expected for additional hours within school holidays.
