Teaching Assistant – Temporary - One Year Fixed Term due to pupil funding
Full Time – 32.5 Hours Per Week / Term Time Only
Salary Range: Grade 3 (SCP 3-4) £18,562 - £18,933 Pro Rata
Actual Salary: £16 044 - £16 368

The Post

The Trustees at St Edward’s Academy are seeking to appoint a full time dedicated, talented and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our established team of highly trained staff who are committed to improving the outcomes for all pupils.

The successful candidate(s) must have the following qualities/skills:

• a good understanding of key areas of learning, such as literacy/numeracy, science and SEND
• hold an NVQ2 for teaching assistants or similar
• have a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team
• be willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life
• demonstrate excellent classroom practice with high standards of teaching and learning
• have the ability to think on their feet and use their initiative
• be motivated, passionate and reflective about their work
• have a commitment to professional development and the skills to engage positively with practitioners, parents/carers and families

As this position is linked to pupil funding, it is for a fixed academic year starting as soon as possible.
