We are seeking a highly motivated, positive and flexible deputy manager to join our dedicated team and work alongside our Childcare Manager. Monkeys Childcare provides an extensive range of Childcare options at Monkspath School for children from 7 months – 11 years in a busy and thriving environment.

The Deputy Manager works closely with the Manager and will have responsibility as an overall leader whilst also being expected to take responsibility for every day management responsibilities including being the Designated Safeguarding Lead during school holiday times. The role requires the confidence to make decisions considering the reputation of the business whilst balancing a high degree of sensitivity to the needs of children and families.

Applicants must be hold a minimum of level 3 in an Early Years qualification, be computer literate, an excellent communicator and have strong leadership skills and a passion of quality. 

You must be committed to delivering exceptional customer service and demonstrate a ‘can do’, calm and highly proficient approach to this role. You will ensure the operational management of our Childcare, to ensure a high quality, balanced provision of leading practice education and care is delivered at all times, ensuring that policies are adhered to and high standards are maintained.

The interesting and varies role is a full year role, with holidays to be taken in term time, and is mainly office based.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for, but not exclusively:

•    Working alongside the manager to monitor the quality of provision and make continual improvements
•    Ensuring the smooth day to day running of the setting
•    Ensuring appropriate staffing in all aspects of the setting: Early Years rooms, breakfast and teatime provision, holiday club
•    Responding to and resolving parent queries
