Education Impact Academy Trust is a newly created MAT incorporating Wilson Stuart School, Queensbury School and Mayfield School. Wilson Stuart School is an Ofsted designated outstanding all age (2 – 25 years) Special School which provides very high-quality education for 232 pupils and young people who have physical disabilities, and/or complex medical conditions. Queensbury School provides for 245 students who have MLD (Moderate

Learning Difficulties), ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health). Mayfield School educates children and young people, who have a range of learning difficulties, between the ages of 3 and 19 and have approximately 300 students on roll.

Wilson Stuart School have achieved an Outstanding grade in their last 6 Ofsted inspections and in their last 3 inspections, the latest of which was March 2019, they were graded as outstanding in every single aspect of the inspection.

JOB OVERVIEW:

We have a number of exciting opportunities for strong candidates to support teaching and learning at Wilson Stuart School. The role is varied and will include classroom support, mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of our pupils as and when required.

We are looking for adaptable, flexible and resourceful individuals with excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

• experience of working with children

• some experience of supporting children in Literacy, Numeracy and working with SEN groups and individuals

• a good understanding of child development and learning processes

• the ability to follow instructions from the teacher and also be able to work independently

• the experience of and the ability to deal positively with children and parents

• experience of using ICT effectively
