ICT Service Support Engineer

Grade 5

The City of Wolverhampton Council are seeking to strengthen its ICT service, recruiting a Service Support Engineer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced support team, who think out of the box. Our aim is to provide exceptional services, including providing advice, support and implementing solutions to several customers in an enterprise environment.


The Service Support Engineer will join a professional, friendly and energetic team. You will have the ability to champion a culture of change and improvement, you will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line ICT support to 4500 customers including maintaining and supporting equipment, software and services.


You must have excellent customer service and communication skills, coupled with the ability to relay technical information to a variety of audiences on a number of levels. You will have recent experience in an ICT support environment delivering 1st and 2nd line support in an enterprise environment which can be demonstrated through application and interview.


You will be qualified to GCSE level or equivalent and an ICT based qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
