The Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team are seeking to recruit some outstanding teaching assistants to support us in the delivery of our covid recovery curriculum to accelerate the progress of children and close the learning gap.

Hawbush Primary School and Maple Tree SEMH Provision is a school that is on a journey of significant improvement and has been going from strength to strength in recent times. We are situated in a purpose-built school building with outstanding facilities in the middle of the Hawbush estate within Dudley. Our pupils join us as young as 2 in Time for Twos and progress to the age of 11. We also have a purpose built SEMH provision on site.

We have an amazing team of dedicated Senior Leaders, Teachers and support staff who work incredibly hard to ensure all our children live their dreams and are exceptional. We have higher than average SEND with 10% EHCP and are situated in an area of high social deprivation.

The role will likely be within Key Stage 1 or Lower Key Stage 2, but the successful candidates should be willing to work across the school.

This role will involve supporting some of our most vulnerable learners with a mixture of one to one, small group and whole class support.

The working hours of the roles will be:

1x 30 hours Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

8:30am - 12pm and 1pm-3:30pm  (6 hours daily)

2x 15hours Level 2 Teaching Assistants 

9am-12pm

Experience of phonics and early reading strategy as well as basic teaching of mathematics skills will be an advantage.
