An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Service for an Business Support Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team of people who are committed to ensuring that quality services are provided to our children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), to take on a new challenge and develop additional skills.

As Business Support Lead, you will be leading a Business Support Team in the provision of high quality, effective, timely and customer focussed administrative support. You will have oversight of all administrative tasks associated with the EHC assessment, Planning and Annual Review processes, as required in team guidance.

You will be working across the Education service as part of a Business Support team, with other Business Support Leads, overseeing workload allocation, ensuring compliance with deadlines and confidentiality expectations, and supporting the Business Support Manager as required.

An important part of the role is to be able to engage effectively with colleagues within and outside the council – responding to queries and referrals effectively.

You will have:

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or the ability to demonstrate extended experience which enables you to carry out the full range of duties.
  • Experience of managing or supervising a team
  • Experience of working within administration including analysing and interpreting data.
  • A passion for delivering high quality customer service.

This post is based at Solihull Council House. We are currently adopting our smarter ways of working which means longer term, this post is likely to involve a combination of office based working and working from home.
