Fixed Term Contract until 31 July 2022

We are looking to appoint an outstanding and experienced Advanced Tutor - English to join the English team at Birmingham Adult Education Service (BAES). The full-time post is fixed term until 31 July 2021 and start as soon as possible.

Advanced Tutors are advanced practitioners with a proven track record of good or outstanding teaching and learning and a willingness to share this good practice amongst other tutors. They are also required to take some responsibility for Internal Quality Assurance, exam registration and preparation, initial assessment and enrolment.

The successful applicant will hold a level 5 teaching qualification, subject specialism in English at least at Level 4, maths at least at level 2 and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a commitment to driving up quality and evidence of flexibility, as some evening and Saturday work is required. Close team work within the English team will be critical.
