Cityserve is the Birmingham City Council multi- award-winning catering service for school meals providing fresh and nutritious food for school kitchen across the UK, healthy eating is a continuous theme throughout all of our menus, and we are committed to the wellbeing of pupils.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, delivers excellent customer service and is able motivate and support team members.
You will assist in the basic preparation of food and refreshments, which may include some cooking and cleaning of the kitchen/dining rooms and kitchen equipment.
As General Assistant your responsibilities will include:
To be aware of pupils needs, dietary and allergen requirements,
Willing to attend training sessions, online and in the classroom,
To assist with keeping the kitchen clean and assisting with all aspects of food service, tidy, washing up and mopping of the floors.
Your duties will include the preparation of dining rooms including the erection and dismantling of dining room furniture where necessary.
You must have good people skills and a good team player.
Good verbal and written communication Skills
Experience in a similar catering environment
Successful applicants must hold an up to date Food Safety Level 2 Certificate
