Due to the retirement of our Headteacher an exciting opportunity has arisen at Bredon Hancock’s Endowed CofE First School for an inspirational leader. Our current Ofsted rating is Outstanding (November 2014) and our recent SIAMs inspection is

Excellent (January 2020). The Governing Body is looking for a Headteacher who can take the school to even higher levels of achievement and who can further energise our staff in this next stage of development. As a first school (YR-Y5), this post might suit an applicant looking for their first headship, or an experienced head who is looking for a new challenge.

We are looking for someone who has the following attributes/qualities:

 Has a passion for teaching and learning

 Sets high expectations for all

 Is a strategic leader with a clear vision for ensuring the school remains outstanding

 Compassion to support all members of our school community

 Character that exemplifies the school’s Christian values and ethos

 Ambition to sustain a rich and varied curriculum which engages and inspires every child

 Has excellent inter-personal communication, analytical and organisational skills

 Continues to foster and further develop collaborative partnerships with local schools and academies

 Recognition of the skills and experience of the current staff to co-develop a shared vision for the school.

At Bredon Hancock’s you will find:

 Well motivated staff – a dedicated team with a supportive governing body who together help to create an inspirational working environment

 Strong commitment to both academic standards and individual growth of every child

 Proactive approach to supporting community cohesion

 Genuinely child centred and inclusive approach with staff who have a passion for outstanding teaching and

learning

 An opportunity to work with wonderful, enthusiastic and responsive children who are eager to learn

Bredon Hancock’s Endowed CofE First School is a happy, family orientated school with a Christian ethos where staff, children and families enjoy working to continuously seek improvement and promote high standards of achievement and success. We are a small village voluntary aided school with approximately 159 pupils (PAN 180), aged 4-10 years, arranged currently in six classrooms each accommodating a single year group.

Please view our website (bredonhancocks-worcs.co.uk) for more information about the school, its achievements, and the curriculum.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subjected to an enhanced DBS clearance.

We actively encourage visits to our school to see just how special our children are and to meet our team.

To arrange a visit to the school, please email office@bredonhancocks.worcs.sch.uk or phone 01684 772254 to speak to Lucy Davies, our office manager.
