IT TECHNICIAN

The post is for a permanent contact, 37 hours per week (full year) with annual leave to be taken during the school holidays in agreement with the headteacher.  

Pitcheroak School is an all age 4 to 19 Special school. We have 150 wonderful children and a beautiful building with excellent facilities. The Governors of Pitcheroak School are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic IT Technician to join our team as soon as possible.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic IT technician, with a passion for IT to assist with supporting the schools use of technology. This is an incredibly important role and is vitally important in the school’s ongoing development.

We have invested significantly in the IT provision over the last 5 years, most recently deploying 1:1 devices to secondary students - taking a cloud first approach to technology in the process. Experience using a variety of Microsoft services is key to this role (Office 365, EndPoint Manager)

The post holder will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the current IT systems within the school, with guidance from the schools overarching IT support provider. Working from a helpdesk, you will provide pro-active support to staff, pupils, governors and external agencies.
