Student Support Assistant - Permanent
37 hours per week, term time only
Grade 5, SCP 6-9 £19,698,- £20,903 per annum (pro rata)
Actual salary - £17,030 - £18,072
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, caring individual to join our Pastoral team,
supporting students with their behaviour for learning and welfare, both inside and outside
the classroom. The successful candidate should have good communication skills and be able
to work as part of a successful team, with the ability to relate well with children and with
adults. The ideal candidate also requires excellent interpersonal, ICT and administrative
skills and has preferably had some experience of working in an educational setting.
The candidate will be able to:
• Support student academic progress and wellbeing, whilst working in our return to
learning base.
• Provide a first point to contact for dealing with welfare and behaviour issues in
school.
• Provide timely and effective support for the Heads of House and Assistant
Headteacher with responsibility for pupil well-being
• Contribute to improving progress and attainment of all students

to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS, formerly CRB) which
will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal
