We are currently recruiting for a number of different roles within our Waste Management section. 

Waste Management Operatives (£19312-£19698 per annum)- we have a number of full time permanent roles, plus zero hour roles available. As a Waste Management Operative you will be required to effectively and efficiently undertake the emptying of wheeled bins, collection of bulky waste, and clinical waste collections, within the Nuneaton and Bedworth area. You will also be required, through our street cleansing service, to cover litter picking, fly tip-removal and the emptying of litter bins.

Refuse Driver - HGV (£20493-£21748 per annum plus permanent overtime allowance) - We have a full time permanent role plus a number of zero hours roles available. You be required to drive waste management vehicles, primarily 26 tonne refuse collection vehicles, in the Nuneaton and Bedworth areas to emptying kerbside household waste, and garden waste bins as required. For this role you should have a Class C LGV and relevant CPC driver Licenses. Team Leading experience is also preferable. 

Cleansing Driver (£20493-£21748 per annum)- to effectively, efficiently and safely carry out a variety of duties related to the cleansing service including; Litter Picking, Street Sweeping, Bulky Waste Collections, removal of fly tipped waste, clinical waste collections and rural refuse collections.  You should hold a valid and current driving licence, with a class C license as desirable. 

All roles will involve working in a team environment on a set route, and be public facing. The hours of work are 37 per week (42 hours per week for Refuse Drivers) with potential start times of 6.30am.

The posts will require some general overtime, weekend and Bank Holiday working, as required.

You should have good communication skills, have a working knowledge of Health and Safety in a refuse collection / waste management service areas. You should also have experience of outdoor working, ideally with moving traffic awareness. Be able to work under your own initiative or in a team environment. Be flexible and reliable and have the ability to work in pressure situations effectively.
