About you and the role

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, well-organised and flexible person who enjoys working with a variety of customers and is passionate about delivering an exciting modern library service to the Bedworth community.

We need an excellent communicator and team player who can take responsibility for the enquiry service, library stock and the activity schedule to ensure Bedworth library can meet both customer needs and County wide standards.

You will take an active lead in managing the library stock and promoting books and reading to customers through displays, events and activities using your knowledge and passion for books and reading.

You will have good digital skills to support customers using IT in the library. A good knowledge of social media is also essential to develop direct engagement with the local community

You will organise and promote a wider programme of events and activities in line with local and County initiatives.

You will be able to assist customers to find information using your knowledge of information resources

You will identify and deliver staff training on stock promotion, stock maintenance, information sources and enquiry techniques and lead the staff to support all library services at Bedworth

You will be resilient and resourceful and able to identify and develop local partnerships especially around County Council and Library Service priority agendas

You will demonstrate Warwickshire’s values and actively promote equality and diversity, being responsive to the growing needs of the community
