Waste and Environmental Officer
£32,910 - £35,745 per annum

Street Scene has been delivering significant improvements in standards of waste and environmental management across Tamworth; with modern efficient working practices, we have developed a multi skilled workforce that delivers an integrated service across the borough. We are currently seeking a committed individual to provide resilience for the Councils frontline operational services, coordinating and developing further improvements to local environmental quality within Tamworth’s housing areas; with the aim of long-term regeneration and sustainability to local areas.
In this key management role, you will need to motivate, lead, and provide direct operational management for staff together with deputising for senior management.
Your remit will include collating and disseminating performance management data to developing improvements plans and communication with residents about waste and environmental initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with proven report writing, presentation and negotiation skills, with two years waste and environmental operational management experience and holding, or currently working towards, a Certificate of Technical Competence in Waste Management; confident at preparing and managing budgets, you will also be required to lead change and drive service improvements.
