Contact Centre Call Handler - Repairs

37 Hours Per Week

Fixed-Term Contract up to 31st December 2022

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and a committed team player to join our Repairs and Maintenance Team in Asset Services, we are responsible for the management of WDC’s Housing Repairs & Maintenance to tenanted properties. In this role you will be the front line within our Contact Centre, handling incoming calls and arranging inspection appointments or appropriate works orders to our contractors.

You will need to be highly organised and able to provide a wide range of administrative and service support tasks. You will be working closely with other members of the team, engaging with customers and contractors whilst supporting the administration of works through to satisfactory completion.

You will require good communication skills and experience in using electronic systems, including the recording and inputting of information. You’ll be required to assess and resolve enquiries and service requests from Tenants by telephone and electronic access channels then make decisions within established procedures and quality standards for each service request to maximise customer satisfaction.

Proven experience of working within a customer service environment within a telephone contact centre is essential as is the ability to deal directly with the public. You must be able to demonstrate and be committed to delivering first class customer service.

Experience of the Social Housing and/or domestic repair and maintenance sectors would be highly advantageous.

Currently, due to Covid19 restrictions, the intention is for this jobholder to work from home. However, office working is available if necessary.
