Assistant Manager – Bromsgrove Short Breaks

Salary up to £31,346*

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join an established residential short break service for children and young people with complex, physical and learning needs.  Who will work alongside the Team Manager to help drive, plan and further develop the operation of the service.

Worcestershire Children’s First provide a high level of care to children and young people and we endeavour to create an environment that compliments the needs of the children, young people and their families.

The Assistant Manager will support the Manager in the day to day operations of the short break whilst ensuring that the quality of life, the creation and implementation of opportunities, for access to activities and that young people are comprehensively supported, whilst offering a high standard of care.  You will work directly with children and young people, building effective relationship with them, their families and other professionals.

They must also make sure Safeguarding standards are adhered to, fully understood, implemented and monitored within the setting.

The Assistant Manager will also support the Manager in administering, overseeing and monitoring the work and performance of all team members, including effective regular individual supervision, and they are accountable for the quality of the work of both individuals and the team. They will be responsible for identifying individual training requirements and overall developmental requirements of the service.
