4 x Commissioning Officer
Salary: £37,890 - £41,881 per annum (pro rata)
37 Hours per week – 12 months Fixed Term
The Public Health and Prevention team (within the wider Health and Care Directorate) are seeking to recruit four Commissioning Officers on a 12 month fixed term basis in the first instance – extensions may be possible subject to future central government funding agreements (which cannot be guaranteed and so should not be relied on).

Post 2 Health behaviours
Posts 3 & 4 Supportive Communities
The first post will work alongside other commissioners to support the development and implementation of a range of related projects that compromise the drug/alcohol commissioning programme.
The second post will support other commissioners delivering a range of commissioning agendas – most likely to include sexual health and other health improvement programmes.
The third and fourth posts will support and develop prevention and early intervention programmes that help reduce demand in Adult Social Care and will focus on interventions with the wider workforce, communities and continual improvement of information advice and guidance.
Subject area knowledge and significant commissioning experience are not necessary (but may be an advantage) for any of the posts. However, the successful candidates will have excellent literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills, the ability to independently complete complex tasks, the ability to work in challenging multi-agency arenas, excellent influencing skills, the flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and enthusiasm/passion improving health and wellbeing.
