Reports to: Trust Finance Manager / Accountant
Salary: Grade 7, SCP 12 to 17 (£22,183 to £24,491 fte)
Fixed Term for 12 months, 25 hours per week Monday to Friday,Term Time plus flexibility to work additional weeks if required.

Empower Trust are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Finance Co-ordinator provide support to schools and the Trust Finance Manager/Accountant in the day to day running of Schools and Trust finances. The post holder will be based within the Trust Central Team.

You will have experience and confidence in using computerised accounting systems (currently Sage but moving to Iris Financials in Jan 22), excellent interpersonal skills, be professional and approachable and have a friendly manner.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate·

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail and an ability to prioritise workload and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with staff at all levels including Trustees and Senior Leaders.
  • Discretion with a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the sensitivity of data.
  • Good proficiency and working knowledge of standard IT applications, including Word and Excel

The post will be based at our Central Team office in Hadnall, Shrewsbury. The location offers a wonderful semi-rural location on Sansaw Business Park and is surrounded by beautiful grounds with free car parking.
