Intensive Family Support Worker 

37 hours - permanent

Grade 5 / £23,541 - £27,041

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Intensive Family Support Worker.

The successful candidate will use their extensive knowledge of children, young people and families to provide holistic packages of support, to those on the edge of care in order to prevent family breakdown. This support will be delivered within a restorative practice framework aimed at working ‘with’ families to empower them.

The teams key objectives are to keep families safely together whenever possible and empower positive change that can be sustained.

The Intensive Family Support Worker will also work closely with social workers and practitioners from other professions within a multi-agency context to ensure a co-ordinated approach to casework planning.

Applicants must hold:

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent e.g. in Education, Health or Social Care, Community Development or Diploma in Youth & Community Work
  • The achievement of English and Maths or equivalent to level 2 of the National Qualification Framework
