About The Role
Transport Operations secures all home to school transport provision for students with special educational needs as well as transporting adults to day care services and respites.
We are looking for a driver to join us working on a part-time, term time only basis. You may also be required to work as a Passenger Assistant as well as working at one of our other depots if the need arises.
Working within a team, you can expect to be working on a split shift system with a morning and afternoon each day. The total hours per week are expected to be 25 and could include early starts (6.45 am). You will be responsible for transporting adults and children to day care, respite placements and schools in Warwickshire which will include helping passengers on and off the bus, ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation, maintaining the vehicle records as well ensuring the bus is clean and tidy after each use. A full package of training will be provided to support you in the role should you be successful.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, it’s important you enjoy driving, hold a clean Driving Licence with Category D1 and are available to work shifts in the early mornings and afternoons. With good communication and customer care skills, you'll enjoy meeting and assisting people of various ages and disabilities providing a courteous and sensitive service. In addition you’ll have the ability to work within a team and on your own initiative, be flexible in your approach, happy to help where needed and used to handling confidential information with tact and discretion. It would be advantageous if you have experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and have experience of working with young and elderly people who are disabled.
