This role is for 32.5 hours, term time only, 7.30am to 2.30pm every day (plus two days in the summer term to be present on results day in order to produce the relevant statistics and distribute results).

Braidwood is a highly successful school for deaf pupils aged between 11 and 18 in purpose-built accommodation.

The Examinations Officer plays a crucial role in the school and we are seeking a competent, enthusiastic and flexible person to fill this role and join our very busy office team.

We are seeking an individual who has:

• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

• The ability to work under pressure

• Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills

• Experience of working in a school or similar role

• The ability to work both without supervision and as part of a team.

Your duties will include:

• Ensuring the smooth running of the examinations process

• Administration of educational visits

• Reception duties (answering the telephone, dealing with pupils, parents and visitors)

All staff are fully supported in gaining British Sign Language skills.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
