The Orchard School is an outstanding Sandwell Special School that caters for pupils with complex and profound learning difficulties. These include severe autism, complex medical conditions, physical and mobility difficulties, as well as severe developmental delay. There are currently 147 pupils on roll, and our children range from 2 –11 years.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for The Orchard School to recruit an office administrator.

We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic and motivated person with experience to work in a busy office and to be a part of the Administration Team.

Their responsibilities will include:

• Greeting pupils, parents and visitors to the school.
• Issuing badges to staff and visitors.
• Use of software packages relevant to the post, i.e., SIMS, FMS.
• Updating pupil information with attendance, pre admissions and leavers
• Administrative support for EHCP’s
• Assistance with processing order and deliveries

The applicant will have experience in:

• Working in a busy school office environment
• SIMS/FMS software packages desirable

The applicant will need to possess:

• High standards of written and spoken English

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time + 5 INSET Days

Salary: Grade C, SCP 5-8 (£19,312 -£20,493 pa) Actual Salary £17,157 - £18,443 pa
