Job Title: Senior HR Advisor (Schools)
Salary: Up to £30,973.62
Hours: 33
Contract type: Fixed-term contract 1 year (initially)
Location: Worcester (with some travel mainly across Worcestershire)


The Role 

Are you passionate about giving great customer service? Are you experienced in managing high volume HR casework? Want to work in a role in a role where you really make a difference? 

Our passion for customer focus and adding value for schools ensures that we deliver a first-class service.   We are looking for a confident HR practitioner with significant advisory experience to be part of our busy Consultancy Team, providing a high-quality service to over 200 schools/Academies and Multi Academy Trusts.  

In this important role, you will be providing robust and timely advice, guidance and support to schools on a full range of employment matters and progressing casework (such as conduct, capability, grievance, absence management, redundancy and workforce reorganisation), to deliver a HR consultancy service which meets our high standards and business needs.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be incredibly organised, experienced in managing high volume casework and be comfortable working at pace to deadlines.  Most importantly you will be highly motivated to work with schools.  

As a key named point of contact for Head Teachers/CEOs, School Business Managers and Governors, you will be customer focussed and have strong interpersonal skills.  

You will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and be experience at building effective working relationships with all levels of staff, representatives, managers, head teachers as well as partnerships with other agencies/service providers. 

You will be an effective communicator (both written and verbal) and experienced at adapting your style to the needs of different audiences.  You will be confident and proficient in writing complex letters, reports and policies as well as designing and delivering training.

You will need
• a level 7 CIPD Diploma in HR or have relevant experience
• be willing and able occasionally to work in the evening
• a flexible and resilient approach to work
• a personal commitment to continuous professional development
• if not term-time only, there may be a requirement for some annual leave to be taken during periods of school closure
• the ability to drive and use of a car is essential
