Teaching Assistant Level 3 (Grade 4) (£20,092 pro rata)

35  hours per week (term time)

Fixed Term Contract (initially in the first instance) until 31st August 2022 

The Governing Board of Bushbury Nursery School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the staff of our friendly welcoming nursery school. We are looking for someone who is familiar and knowledgeable about supporting all children aged 2, 3, 4, & 5 years of age including those with additional needs. 

Key requirements:

We are looking for a teaching assistant who is flexible, resourceful and able to communicate readily and easily.

Successful applicants will be committed to providing the very best learning experiences for all children including children with SEND. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of successfully supporting personalised learning for children with additional needs and familiar with the Education Health and Care Planning process (EHCP)

NNEB, BTEC cert, NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistant or equivalent in a relevant discipline 

Experience of working with 2-5 year olds

Experience of reporting, monitoring and assessing children’s attainment, progress and development 

Experience of working as part of a team and have a positive and flexible approach   Excellent behaviour management skills 

Experience of planning and preparing specific activities to meet every child’s needs 

A commitment to helping every child reach their potential 

The ability to establish good working relationships with children, staff parents and other professionals 

Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
