Clerk to the Council - Fordbridge Town Council
37.0 Hours per Week
Fordbridge Town Council is seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer to undertake day-to-day management of the Council’s business including its financial affairs and operation of The Fordbridge Centre. The post is permanent subject to suitable references and completion of a six-month probationary period. The working pattern is a flexible 37-hour week which will include some evening meetings.
Applicants should have excellent administrative and supervisory skills, have experience of managing a team and working to strict deadlines, be educated to a good standard, computer literate, with good inter-personal skills.
The successful candidate will be required to prepare agenda, reports and minutes of meetings. They will also be required to maintain the Council’s financial records and prepare and manage budgets.
Relevant Local Government qualifications (CiLCA)/ experience an advantage but not essential, but must be willing to undertake training as applicable.
