Salary Scale 6 £12.95 - £14.02 per hour

Severndale Specialist Academy is a multi-site Academy catering for children with special educational needs in Shropshire. Our children and young people can access Severndale Specialist Academy from Reception through to Sixth Form and have a range of learning difficulties, physical and mobility difficulties and some pupils who require personal care. A number of our young people present behavioral difficulties arising from their condition; many have communication difficulties and use Makaton signing as their primary form of communication.

We require innovative, highly motivated and inspirational staff to join the Severndale Team. You will be joining an exceptional group of highly skilled Teachers, Teaching Assistants and support staff who work collaboratively to provide a highly personalised curriculum.

The Academy appreciates the value of outdoor learning opportunities for our young people and how Forest School Leaders play a key role in delivering this important part of the curriculum.

We are looking for inspiring and ambitious individuals to provide exciting and highly engaging activities for our stu- dents as a Forest School Leader with the guidance of the teaching staff to deliver an appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of each pupil in accordance with the aims of the Academy. At a specified time, the role will require management of other Teaching Assistants within the Academy, including training, appraisal, allocation and moni- toring of work.

• Forest School Leader Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent)
• GCSE grades 9—4 (A* to C) in English and Maths
