We are looking for a Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator to join our growing team and contribute towards achieving ‘Outstanding’ status.

Working alongside our Pastoral and Therapies Team and reporting into our Head of Pastoral you will focus on developing and delivering a high-quality health provision to make a real impact on learner wellbeing and ensure our learners are equipped with the skills and knowledge need to keep themselves safe and make risk-enabling choices. The health provision will be clearly mapped and embedded throughout the curriculum by providing a holistic and systemic approach to learning.

The main purpose of the role is to lead on all aspects of Relationships, Sex and Health Education, ensuring a highly effective and successful study programme, and a coherent approach to supporting learners with their specific needs. To equip learners with the knowledge and skills to keep themselves safe and make risk-enabling choices with regards to their health and wellbeing, specifically learners’ relationships and sexual health, and effectively utilising resources to ensure a person-centred approach to learning in order to maximise learners’ retention and progress.

Please note, this is a term time only role, meaning you will be required to work during term time only, taking all college holidays. The salary range stated above has already been pro-rata to take this into account, and the £ range stated is therefore the actual salary range for this position, with no further reductions to be applied for term time only working.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Prior to attending your interview, we will ask you to complete a pre-interview criminal convictions declaration form and will obtain at least 1 reference. Both must be received by us before your interview can take place. As this post involves working with or access to vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service including an Adult Barred List check.

We first opened our doors in 2014 with 10 learners and 3 staff. Since then, we have successfully grown the college to what it is today, with over 125 students and 82 staff.
