37hrs a week (permanent)

Are you enthusiastic, dynamic, qualified social worker. We have a vacancy for a qualified Social worker to join us in the Wyre Forest Area Social Work Team. Are you enthusiastic, creative worker who values supporting people to maximise their independence in the community.

We are a very friendly team covering Kidderminster, Stourport, Bewdley and surrounding areas.  We make time weekly as a team for reflective practice, and you will be offered on-going training, and professional development opportunities, monthly supervision, and a warm, supportive working environment where we value your contribution, and staff value and support each other.

You will need to have the ability to be creative, innovative and search for creative solutions that are not always obvious. In Worcestershire we have adopted the 3 Conversation model of practice which involves a strength based approach to working with people. You will manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and have the ability to approve and purchase support packages to support people to make positive changes in their life. You will need to have the confidence to advocate for our clients and work in partnership with health colleagues, other statutory partners, and voluntary sector providers.
