An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ridgeway Primary School for an Apprentice School Business & Administrative Assistant to join our office team.

The role will include:

  • Supporting the Office Manager with administration and clerical duties
  • Reception duties including answering the phone and taking messages
  • Support with the delivery of first aid

Training will be provided in the use of:

  • The Schools Information System (SIMS)
  • The schools finance systems (My Finance) for the raising of orders and payment of invoices

You will be required to undertake Level 2 or 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship training (mostly in school with some college attendance) over a 15-month period.

Entry Requirements:

English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent).

Or a level 2 Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification for a Level 3 Entry

Salaries

The current National Minimum Wage for an Apprentice is £4.30 an hour. This rate applies to Apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices will be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over AFTER completing their first year.

  • 25 years and over: £8.91 per hour
  • ​21 to 24: £8.36 per hour
  • 18 to 20: £6.56 per hour
