PENSIONS ADMINISTRATOR -STAFFORDSHIRE PENSION FUND

Salary:  £19,698 - £20,903 per annum (Grade 5)

37 Hours per week – Permanent

The Fund administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for over 115,000 members across 500 employers. Employers include Local Councils, Universities, Academies, Further Education establishments and Housing Associations. More information on what we do can be found at:

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Administration Team working on all areas of administration for members of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

The successful applicants will be required to maintain scheme member’s pension records accurately, calculate benefits and respond to written and verbal enquiries about the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). In addition, they must be able to demonstrate that they are customer focussed with a strong attention to accuracy and detail.

One of the key requirements for these positions is that the applicants will be required to demonstrate a good standard of IT skills, as the administration of the LGPS is exclusively systems based and uses all available technology to deliver our service as efficiently as possible.

The successful candidates will have opportunities to participate in training and communication exercises for our varied customer base. There may be opportunities to undertake formal professional training and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough and logical approach and be able to work on their own initiative to meet critical deadlines. Proven relevant experience in an administration, financial or pensions environment would be desirable.
