Horton Lodge School is looking to appoint an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join our strong and dedicated team.

We are a Local Authority Special School for children aged 2-11years with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. Our students have a range of complex learning needs including cognitive, physical, sensory, emotional and health related disabilities.  

The successful candidate will truly hold the pupil’s well-being and learning at the centre of all they do, have good interpersonal skills, high standards and expectations and an understanding of the difficulties faced by young people with disabilities. Experience of supporting pupils with complex communication needs and the use of alternative and augmentative communication systems would be advantageous however the successful candidate will receive high levels of support and a thorough induction.

A commitment to undertake training and implement new initiatives is required.

The successful candidate will undertake duties detailed in Teaching Assistant Job Profile AA6959 at Grade 3 term time only (SCP 3 – 4, £18,562 - £18,933 Full Time Equivalent) to start as soon as possible.
