King Edward VI College, Stourbridge is a sixth form college and a member of the Heart of Mercia Multi-academy Trust.  The College specialises in the delivery of A levels for 16- to 19-year-olds, offering a broad curriculum with extensive enrichment opportunities. The College is a vibrant, inclusive community with over 2000 students from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds, all united in their enthusiasm for learning.

We seek an archivist to be responsible for assembling, cataloguing, preserving and managing valuable documents and assets relevant to the College’s history. 

King Edward VI College Stourbridge has a long and rich history and it is of great importance to the College that this history is preserved, shared and celebrated. The post holder will share our enthusiasm for managing our archive material as a vital part of the College’s history and will have an understanding of and empathy with the College’s ethos. The post holder will have excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.The archivist will serve an important role in sharing the College’s archive material with members of the College community, including alumni and the wider community and will develop archive material as part of the promotion of our history both internally and externally.

The College is fully committed to supporting all members of staff through staff development and in-service training.

The post holder will be required to work up to a maximum of 100 hours per annum to be worked flexibly. Salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Association support staff pay scale 7 - 11 which is currently £10.33 – £11.80 per hour plus holiday pay, which is 13.53%.
