Part Time Fixed Term (Monday – Friday 8.30am – 12.30pm)
The Governors at Rounds Green Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Learning Support Assistant to join our caring school and work as part of a team.
Initially, this role will be to provide support to two children in Year 3 with additional needs. You will be required to provide 1:2 support and deliver a personalised curriculum for these children by working closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to implement recommendations from external agencies.
Applicants should be:
- able to demonstrate a genuine care for the individual pupils
- able to cater for the needs of each individual child in their care
- able to incorporate a variety of learning strategies
- able to maintain open communications with parents, colleagues and external agencies in building and maintaining a supportive and encouraging team environment
- Have experience of supporting children with SEND
We are looking for an applicant who:
- Has excellent interpersonal skills
- Has excellent organisational skills
- Understands how to implement IEP’s and EHCPs
- Is patient and caring
- Is committed to working collaboratively and is able to act upon advice and guidance
