Housing Adaptations Paediatric Occupational Therapist

 

Warwickshire County Council requires a dynamic and creative Occupational Therapist to join its cutting edge multi-agency Housing Adaptation Team to be based with our colleague in the NHS Paediatric Community Service.

This is a county wide post and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a member of the NHS Community Paediatric Occupational Therapy team and will be responsible for providing housing solutions/adaptations for children, working closely with the Housing Environmental Assessment response Team HEART.

The NHS Paediatric Community Occupational Therapy service is a fully integrated team working across health and social care.

You will need excellent communication and team working skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and have an ability to effectively prioritise and manage referrals for adaptations coming into the service. You will require knowledge, skills and experience of either the assessment and adaptation process or working with children.

You will also be required to support junior members of the Occupational Therapy team, Occupational Therapy Assistants and Technical Instructors. Part of this role may also include clinical supervision.
