Bereavement and Registration Services
Registration Officer - Ref: EE04721
Salary: G6 £23,541 - £27,741 (pro-rata)
Contract: 21 hours per week working Monday to Friday
The Bereavement and Registration Services is responsible for the management and day to day operation of the Borough’s Crematorium, Cemeteries and The Register Office.
Under the guidance of the Senior Registration Officer, you will be required to join our current team of Registration Officers to assist in the provision of a comprehensive Registration Service, within Bereavement Services.
This is a varied and interesting role and will involve undertaking duties with regard to the processing of documentation in relation to burial, cremation and the purchase of memorials. You will be required to deal with recently bereaved families.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:-
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the receipt, processing and reconcilliation of payments
- A proven sympathetic and caring manner obatined from working within a sensitive environment
- Good organisational skills
- A flexible approach
